Scenario library grows to over 1050 scenarios

  • 7 June 2019

We've just published the ORX Scenario Library for 2019 on our secure data-exchange system. Each year, subscribers to ORX Scenarios anonymously submit their 10 most severe scenarios to the library, helping to create a unique industry catalogue of actual scenarios. This year, subscribers submitted more than 280 new scenarios to bring the total number in the library to over 1050. Each submission includes information such as category, impact ranking and risk drivers.

Most common scenario categories for 2019

There was no change in the most common scenario categories between this year and last year. The top three categories were:

  • Processing errors
  • Improper business practices
  • Cyber-related fraud

How does the library help scenario practice?

The ORX Scenario Library helps you see how your scenarios compare to those of your peers. You can use the scenarios in the library in workshops as examples and to facilitate discussion. You can also benchmark your submissions and compare severity estimates. To make this easy for you, we've created some standard reports.

Scenario list and scenario cards

These reports let you download each individual scenario from the library, so you can use them as examples and to prompt discussions.

Scenario portfolio report

With this report you can identify gaps in your scenarios and see if your estimations are in line with the rest of the industry.

Scenario focus report

This report provides a detailed comparison of your scenarios with others in the the same category.

If you'd like to know more about how to get the most from the library, please get in touch.
