The ORX research catalogue is now available

  • 22 November 2018

Since 2002, we have completed over 50 individual research projects covering topics as far ranging as The effects of the financial crisis on banking operational risk losses (2013) and Understanding Control Management Practices (2017). Each topic has been suggested and supported by the ORX membership.

With so many projects covering such a broad range of operational risk and non-financial risk activities, we have created the ORX Research Catalogue to make it easier for you to explore our work.

The projects have been grouped together by research themes under the broad headings of risk management and risk measurement. This clearly demonstrates our shift from a risk measurement bias in the earlier projects to a risk management focus in the last 2-3 years.

Each project entry includes:

  • A description of the project
  • A list of institutions that took part (where relevant)
  • Key findings
  • Research themes
  • Applicable sectors of the industry
  • URL link to the research on our website
  • Related research

You can also find some of our research projects on the research page, where you can download some of our reports and project summaries. If you are an ORX member, you can visit the member's website to access all of our research.

Rest assured, this does not mark the end of our research programme. At the end of the catalogue, we highlight our current research topics and we are already building our research programme for the future. The research we do is based on what our members want us to do. If you are interested in finding out more about joining ORX, then please visit the join us page.

In addition to providing an insight into our research activities, the catalogue also gives an overview of the development of ORX from a loss sharing consortium in 2002 to what we are today: the world’s leading operational risk management industry association.
