Job summary and main purpose
ORX is undertaking a complex transformation programme, building and deploying new and existing services to a secure Cloud platform to provide next generation digital exchange capabilities (DX 2.0). The Principal Systems Analyst role will be instrumental in the specification, design, implementation and roll-out of these services.
This role provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Systems Analyst to work on the creation of next generation solutions with some of the foremost operational risk figures in the global financial services industry.
The opportunity
ORX is undertaking a complex transformation programme, building and deploying new and existing services to a secure Cloud platform to provide next generation digital exchange capabilities (DX 2.0). As sole Systems Analyst on the project, this role will be instrumental in the specification, design, implementation and roll-out of these services across the entire business.
- Engaging stakeholders to elicit, capture and agree the scope, goals and business requirements.
- As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to the analysis, creation, documentation and sign-off of the system designs.
- Communicating the system designs and requirement specification to stakeholders to enable business sign-off, and to development partners to ensure complete alignment with stakeholder requirements and business goals.
- Assisting the change team with the identification of changes and updates to the business processes, procedures and training
- Assisting the development partner with the technical deployment of DX 2.0 systems
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
Gathering and capturing the requirements for the various systems within DX 2.0 portfolio:
- Managing and coordinating an ORX stakeholder engagement to elicit, capture and agree the scope, goals and business requirements
- Collaborating with the ORX Change team and the relevant business teams to understand the necessary changes to deliver the proposed business requirements
- Actively contributing to the analysis, creation, documentation and signoff of the system designs, working as an integral part of the Technical Delivery team
- Translating and agreeing the system designs into clear, precise and testable requirement specifications that enable commercial agreement, planning and implementation
- Communicating the system designs and requirement specifications to the stakeholders to enable internal business signoff
Supporting the implementation lifecycle for systems within DX 2.0 portfolio:
- Communicating the system designs and requirement specifications to development partners to enable the technical implementation and to ensure complete alignment with the requirements and business goals
- Assisting development partner and ORX test teams with the planning, preparation and execution of system and user acceptance testing activities
Supporting the operational roll-out of systems within DX 2.0 portfolio:
- Assisting the ORX Change team with the identification of changes and updates to the business processes, procedures and training
- Assisting the development partner with the technical deployment of DX 2.0 systems
Success factors
